Matlab is an interactive environment for developing, simulating, and analyzing mathematical models and graphical data. It supports immediate response to your input in the form of an interactive command window. It provides a GUI-based environment for creating, evaluating, editing, and debugging numerical computations. Matlab is available as freeware on Windows 10/8/7 platforms. A lot of software (and hardware) is available which you might be interested in purchasing or running with your computers that has their license agreement at the end of it or applications that they want you to pay for before use. This often includes access to 'full version' software that contains features not included in the trial mode. One such application was Matlab 6. 0. The 'full version' of this software is licensed as a usage-based product and essentially gives you the full features on the license agreement after you use the free trial period which varies between 12 and 30 days. The usage-based model is where you agree to use the software as long as you need it, but if you do not need it anymore then it stops working. This can be very dangerous because there are scenarios where you might have to use the software for a few years even though you no longer need it. So, I went to the website and got the full version of the software and my license agreement. I then installed it for free for 3 months. I then obtained a copy of my license agreement and it stated that since my free trial period expired they would not be sending me any more software. They would, however, charge me $200 per year (about £120) if I wanted them to continue sending me their 'full versions'. In addition to this there were other features on this 'full version' that I did not want so I thought about what options I had. I realized that I still had the 6.0 license agreement on my laptop. I told myself it wasn't worth losing this license because of the two things I wanted to change in the software. I then went onto their website and found a link for 'Ordering Cancellation' which allowed me to cancel all payments until the end of the month in which I had gotten my software, which was July 7th. I then sent an email to cancel my subscription payments stating that I would no longer be using their software and cancelling my license payments once per year after July 2016. I then sent another email to the 'Legacy' department at MATLAB expressing that I was sorry that I did not cancel my license payments. Then I emailed them to see if the software would still be working after July 7th. They emailed me back saying it would continue working until July 2016 and that they would not charge me any more for it. This is how I got rid of the full version of the software on my laptop which had been running continuously since March 2013. The software will continue to work without charge for me until July 2016.
